On 11/18/2020, Foreign Operations received information that the Mexican states of Tamaulipas and Nuevo Leon are experiencing a significant increase in the number of COVID-19 cases, resulting in stricter regulations on the operation of governmental offices. Governmental offices, which were already operating with reduced staffing, will now face tighter restrictions and partial or complete shutdowns. The restrictions or shutdowns could potentially result in delays in obtaining necessary appointments and vehicle releases in those regions. Foreign Operations’ Investigative Specialists will continue to follow up on all of their open files and provide updates as needed.
