Technology-driven services like ride-hailing can be manipulated for illegal gain. Personal auto insurance policies are designed to cover personal use of a vehicle, including liability, collision, and comprehensive coverage. These policies typically do not cover commercial activities, such as using a vehicle for ridesharing. Discover the limitations of personal insurance for TNC drivers. Many personal insurance policies have specific exclusions for ridesharing, and failing to disclose this information can lead to denied claims or policy cancellations.
