The NICB received information regarding a medical facility allegedly involved in drug crimes and fraud where Yajaira Lopez, a medical assistant, was alleged to be a participant. Lopez recently pled guilty in US District Court to false statement relating to health care matters. She was sentenced to 18 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release. She must also pay a $5,000 fine and restitution of $100. Her two co-defendants await their sentencing.
