The NICB assisted a regulatory agency with their investigation of two individuals who were allegedly negotiating claim settlements, and therefore, were engaged in Unauthorized Practice of Law. One of the individuals was a disbarred attorney; a contempt of court order was issued against him and he was fined $5,000. Court Orders were served against the second individual and the business, prohibiting them from engaging in Unauthorized Practice of Law.
