South Carolina Man Charged with Insurance Fraud, Forgery

ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that Daniel Demore, 47, of Mauldin, South Carolina, is wanted in connection with a Fulton County investigation. The suspect is charged with one count of insurance fraud and six counts of forgery.

“In July of 2021, Mr. Demore filed a claim with Homesite Insurance Company, stating that his vehicle was broken into, and multiple items were stolen,” said Commissioner King. “Upon investigation, it was determined that Mr. Demore submitted several forged documents as evidence in an attempt to collect a payment of more than $10,000.”

Warrants were taken out against Mr. Demore in Fulton County on February 3rd. He is still wanted at this time.
