Porsche ID Leads to Extradition
NICB Agent received a request for assistance from the Illinois Police Department in the identification of a Porsche roadster with a questionable VIN. Based on photographs provided by the investigating officer, NICB Agent inspected the roadster and determined the identity as assigned by the manufacturer. A NCIC theft record was found; the roadster was reportedly stolen from an Oregon dealership. The case principal admitted to the theft of the vehicle. He is also subject to an outstanding $500,000 bond for narcotics trafficking by Oregon authorities. He is currently incarcerated awaiting extradition.
