Poinciana, Polk County, FL - A quiet night in Poinciana was shattered by a bold residential burglary and vehicle theft, prompting an urgent appeal from the Polk County Sheriff's Office for public assistance in apprehending the culprits. The incident, which unfolded around 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2024, has left a neighborhood on edge and law enforcement officers seeking leads.

According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, the burglary took place at a residence on Inconnu Drive. The occupants of the home were startled by noises emanating from the first floor. Upon investigation, they were shocked to find their blue 2015 Toyota Sienna being driven away by unknown suspect(s). Further inspection revealed that two flat screen televisions, an Xbox 360, a cell phone, and a wallet had also been stolen.

In a bid to identify and capture those responsible, the Sheriff's Office has released video surveillance images from the neighborhood. The footage shows a suspect dressed in long black shorts, a white shirt, and with a red shirt tied around his head/face, in proximity to the burgled home and the stolen vehicle. A white sedan, believed to be associated with the suspects, is also visible in the surveillance footage. The individuals are seen suspiciously loitering and driving around the area before committing the burglary and auto theft.
