‘No Limit Towing’ owner sentenced to 5 years in Richmond jail for stealing cars, overcharging customers
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A Richmond judge sentenced Sherral Crawley, owner of the troubled No Limit Towing & Recovery, to five years in prison for stealing cars and overcharging customers.
The investigation into No Limit Towing began in December 2022, with the Richmond Police Department looking into claims that vehicles were being towed from unauthorized areas and customers were being overcharged.
When serving a search warrant on the business in 2023, police expanded these allegations, stating that vehicles were being taken from private lots and then being illegally demolished or sold. Dozens of residents were reportedly impacted by this conspiracy.
A few days after that search took place, Crawley turned herself in to police. Since then, she’s been hit with quite a few charges across both the city of Richmond and Caroline County.
During this most recent sentencing hearing on Monday, June 8, six witnesses testified against Crawley’s business practices. Three of the witnesses were law enforcement officers.
8News asked Patricia Lee, one of Crawley’s victims, for her thoughts on the sentencing.
