Last Fall, NICB agents were contacted by law enforcement. They requested assistance in locating and tracking an individual suspected of trafficking large quantities of fentanyl and other dangerous drugs. It was suspected that the subject’s girlfriend had rented multiple vehicles that were used in the commission of illegal drug transactions. Agents contacted the rental company and confirmed details. Ultimately, a federal search warrant was executed. The suspect, a convicted felon, was in possession of 45 grams of fentanyl, 2 handguns and numerous armor piercing rounds. The suspect was taken into custody with multiple charges pending, including Drug Trafficking 1st degree and Felon in Possession of Weapons. Law enforcement was extremely grateful for the quick responses and ongoing assistance by NICB.
