Federal law enforcement requested the assistance of NICB with an investigation into an individual who allegedly reported several suspicious claims with various insurance companies related to his business and properties. The claims allegedly netted the man hundreds of thousands of dollars. The man recently pled guilty to interstate transportation of money by fraud. He was sentenced to 24 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release. He must also pay a fine and restitution.
