NICB Special Agent (SA) Lupoli, a member of the Los Angeles County Task Force for Regional Auto Theft Prevention (TRAP) West Team was among the recent recipients of the Peace Officers Association of Los Angeles County’s (PAOLAC) “Centurion Award 2020” for excellence in task force investigations.
The award recognizes TRAP for unraveling a complex, high-end online automobile theft scam costing victims nearly $4,000,000. The investigation also involved the California Department of Motor Vehicles, the California Highway Patrol, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and LAPD.
