ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that warrants have been issued for Orlando Echols, 36, of Lithonia, for three counts of Insurance Fraud and two counts of Forgery in the 1st Degree. Mr. Echols is wanted in connection with a DeKalb County case.
“In April of 2021, the suspect filed a claim with Allstate Insurance stating his vehicle had been burglarized and items had been stolen,” said Commissioner King. “Mr. Echols subsequently submitted altered receipts inflating the value of the stolen items, submitted receipts for items that he had returned, and submitted a document with a fraudulent date. In total, the suspect was trying to gain over $5,000 in insurance money.”

The warrants were issued by a DeKalb County Judge on March 3rd.
