Kentucky NICB Agent Distributes Signage Warning of Fraud After Natural Disasters
NICB agent contacted Law Enforcement and / or emergency personnel in Estill, Powell, Lee, and Breathitt Counties in Eastern Kentucky. Signs were placed in areas affected by recent flooding, warning residents to beware of dishonest contractors. Pamphlets warning of fraud after natural disasters, were given to officials so they could be placed in high traffic government buildings. Damage assessments are still being made by Disaster and emergency services directors.
