On August 10th, the NICB was contacted by Wisconsin State Patrol Inspectors who were in the process of serving a search warrant at a motorcycle shop. That shop was alleged to have been in possession of stolen Harley-Davidson’s and parts. Law enforcement asked for assistance related to restoration of altered VINs, which the NICB agent provided. As a result, a complete Harley-Davidson and a complete engine and frame were identified and recovered. The individual in possession of the stolen vehicle and parts was arrested and referred for criminal charges.
