NICB agent received two referrals on a contractor for allegedly causing mechanical damages to mimic hail damages. The agent requested both claims and has received one which appears to confirm man-made damage. A meeting with law enforcement is set to present initial findings. Storm season is upon the St. Louis area and law enforcement advised they are interested in pursuing this matter further with NICB’s ongoing assistance as this is a problem for not only insurance companies but citizens due to the aggressive nature of contractors and public adjusters.
