NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A former North Charleston Police officer and former police recruit with the agency are facing charges related to an insurance fraud case in October of 2021.
Armani Ellison and Tariq Ramkalup are charged with misconduct in office and presenting false claims for insurance payments. Agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) arrested both men on Tuesday.
