ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that Eric Mosley, 43, of Fairburn, has been charged with seven counts of insurance fraud, four counts of forgery, and two counts of identity fraud.
“In 2021, Mr. Mosley submitted four claims to Allstate Insurance for damages to two vehicles, both of which were listed on an insurance policy in an unknowing victim’s name,” said Commissioner King. “The suspect submitted four fraudulent repair invoices in an attempt to procure over $18,000 from the insurance company, but the claim was ultimately denied before payment was issued.”
Between December of 2022 and January of 2023, Mr. Mosely submitted three additional fraudulent claims to Progressive Insurance. Using another policy under an unknowing victim’s name, Mr. Mosely claimed damage to the passenger side of his vehicle after hitting a pothole and spinning out into a guardrail. The claim was denied by Progressive Insurance before any repair invoices were submitted.
Warrants were taken out against Mr. Mosely in Fulton County on May 10th. He is still wanted at this time.
