A suspect has been arrested and charged with home improvement fraud.
Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Melissa Court, in the community of Highpointe at St. Georges. A 57-year-old woman stated that she had paid a contractor money and that renovations on her residence were not completed.
The victim provided the officers with a copy of a signed contract with 44-year-old, Gary Slagle of TriPoint Restorations, city not released, from 2021.
The contract totaled more than $50,000 with the project starting in August 2021 and ending by October 2021.
