On Sunday, 05/01/2022, the NICB assisted Houston Police Department Auto Theft officers with a catalytic converter etching initiative at a South Central Houston lube and oil business. This community event was an invite only event coordinated by the South Central Houston PD command. Houston PD officers etched over 60 vehicles at the event. Additional etching events for the future have been scheduled by the Houston PD Auto Theft Division.
