Office of Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire, February 4, 2022

ATLANTA – Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that a warrant has been issued for Tessa Blakely, 40, of Fort Mitchell, Alabama, for one count of Insurance Fraud. Ms. Blakely is wanted in connection with a Gwinnett County case.

“In 2019, the suspect was involved in a motor vehicle accident in Columbus, GA,” said Commissioner King. “Ms. Blakely was then transported to the hospital for treatment and was given a medical exemption from work for five days. She subsequently submitted a forged exemption to Liberty Mutual for 97 days of missed work to claim more insurance money than she was entitled to.”

Anyone with information on this case should call the Criminal Investigations Division’s warrant line at 404-463-6363.

The warrant was issued by a Gwinnett County Judge on January 27th.
