The NICB assisted federal law enforcement with a staged accident ring investigation that identified 22 participants using at least 48 aliases. Two additional individuals recently pled guilty to Mail Fraud, Conspiracy to Commit Mail and Wire Fraud, and related charges; and are awaiting sentencing. The latest guilty pleas bring the total convictions for this case to 21 individuals; only the leader remains at large.
