NICB People, Passion, Purpose - Part II

In 2010, the National Insurance Crime Bureau was named one of the "Best Places to Work in Illinois." A significant reason for this award is the joy NICB employees experience doing their work. It's in the fiber of the organization. We have passion for the work we do – a genuine desire to fight fraud and to protect the American people. While NICB has been known to have a few parties and potlucks, we also pride ourselves in extending an invitation to new employees who share our passion. And once they are here, we do everything we can to make them feel at home.

We also recognize that everyone goes through good and bad times in their lives – joyous and difficult times. We enjoy sharing in the many celebrations – the birth of an NICB baby (we call it "succession planning"), the completion of a triathlon, or receiving an award. However, the Human Resources department also does everything we can to provide support (both personal and professional), understanding and resources to our employees whenever they have a need. Whether it's helping a spouse or employee come to grips with their newly diagnosed cancer, assisting an employee with a child support issue, providing resources to help an employee get a better grasp on their finances or just lending an ear when someone is troubled; this is the unspoken service HR provides.

The NICB is a family and as such, we celebrate successes and are also here to support our employees when they are in need. After all, anyone can administer pay and benefits. We like to focus on the person and we hope it shows.

Anyone with information concerning insurance fraud or vehicle theft can report it anonymously by calling toll-free 800.TEL.NICB (800.835.6422) or submitting a form on our website.
