Fight Against Auto Theft in Tennessee

Having your car broken into isn’t fun, and according to police, there have been rash of auto thefts in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The thefts are happening during big events such as car shows, college football games, and even the Bristol Motor Speedway NASCAR race. Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Pigeon Forge, Tennessee Police Department reached out to the National Insurance Crime Bureau for assistance.

Law enforcement, with the help of NICB, conducted a pro-active effort to catch those responsible for the auto thefts during the recent Fall Rod Run car show in Pigeon Forge. This event brings in more than 100,000 people to Sevier County during the week. While there were no arrests associated to the proactive effort, law enforcement considers the operation a success.
