Learning Opportunities
Insurance fraud and vehicle theft crimes are vast, and oftentimes comprise complex schemes involving multiple individuals and crime groups. Fraud investigators require highly specialized training and education to detect and investigate fraudulent insurance claims and uncover potentially large-scale criminal conspiracies. Classroom Training
NICB's Learning and Development offers our members and the law enforcement community a range of unique programs designed to address their fraud-fighting educational needs. We have a new process to request facilitated training events.
Virtual Instructor-led Training
To further meet the needs of our members, NICB Learning and Development launched virtual FraudSmart® sessions. The virtual instructor-led sessions provide the same level of interaction and engagement as NICB classroom sessions without having to leave your desk! Sessions are scheduled two days a week, two times a day to accommodate all time zones with our most common topics being facilitated most often.

Online Training
The National Insurance Crime Training Academy (NICTA) meets the needs of anti-insurance crime personnel by utilizing the internet as a training medium. As a result, insurance personnel and law enforcement officers can increase the deterrence, detection, investigation and prevention of fraudulent claims to protect customers and the public at large. National Training Academies and Events
NICB's Learning and Development Department offers our members a range of unique programs designed to address their fraud-fighting educational needs. NICB’s Fraud Academy consolidates our other academies into one to provide a more comprehensive agenda and better networking opportunities. A vehicle finance conference and cargo summits are also offered throughout the year.
Video Resource Library
A library of short videos has been developed to assist in learning more about a topic, and how to complete various system processes. System Support provides step-by-step guidance on key processes. Chalk Talks provides short content teasers/information on specific topics.
