Woman Arrested for Allegedly Leaving Fatal Crash in June, Saying Vehicle was Stolen.

Rochester, N.Y. — On June 8, 2022, around 3:05 a.m. the Rochester Police Department responded to the intersection of Culver Road and Bay Street for the report of an unresponsive person.

Upon arrival, they found the victim, a man in his mid-60's laying in the roadway with head trauma.

The victim was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, he has been identified as 67-year-old Samuel Thompson.

On January 5, 2023, RPD Major Crimes Unit arrested 42-year-old Webster resident, Gina Inguagiato for leaving the scene of an incident without reporting, third-degree insurance fraud, tampering with physical evidence, and making a punishable false written statement.

Inguagiato turned herself in at the Public Safety Building and was remanded to the Monroe County Jail and will be arraigned on January 6.

It is alleged in the complaint filed against Inguagiato that on June 8, around 3:05 a.m. She operated her motor vehicle on Culver Road at the intersection of Bay Street where she struck and killed Samual Thompson. Continue Article
