Evolving our Brand to Reflect Today’s NICB

NICB National Insurance Crime Bureau

For more than 110 years, NICB and our founding organizations have steadfastly fought criminal actors engaging in insurance fraud. We continue to be an organization steeped in commitment, credibility, and principles, and the NICB brand has become synonymous with crime detection, deterrence, and prevention.

Since NICB was formed in 1992 through the merger of the National Automobile Theft Bureau and the Insurance Crime Prevention Institute, we’ve maintained our commitment to fighting insurance fraud.  But how we do that has changed significantly. While we continue to evolve as a data-driven, member-centric organization, our visual brand has not changed in more than 30 years, until now.

Now we are evolving NICB’s visual brand to reflect the organization we have become and the organization we continue to aspire to be. We are aligning our brand with the new, modern tools and processes we provide for our members and partners.

Building Excitement for the Brand

Remaining Committed to Fighting Fraud

NICB brings employees with diverse expertise and knowledge and a steadfast commitment to reliably serving members and the public by:

  • Mining unique datasets to detect fraud, predict trends, and alert members and law enforcement.
  • Aligning experts and supporting task forces to investigate fraud.
  • Strengthening anti-fraud legislative landscape to deter fraud.
  • Supporting and educating the public to help prevent fraud from occurring.

Living the NICB Brand

Our brand identifies who we are, what we stand for, and the promise we make to our members. We strive for our brand to build awareness of all the ways we can help reduce the impact of fraud and insurance-related crime. We’re an organization that has earned credibility through our proud history, and the knowledge, commitment, and professionalism of our employees.

As we roll out the new branding throughout the year, we strive to continue to live up to our NICB values bringing fraud-related knowledge, reliable member service, innovative processes and ideas, and an honest and principled approach to everything we do. We commit to consistency in how we act, what we say, and the work we do. We bring a unified brand – a unified NICB – to build trust and help us stand out as a credible and valuable partner for our members, law enforcement, law makers, and the public.
